BBQ Chicken Salad

This salad is a knock off of Red Robin's BBQ chicken salad. Red Robin is one of our family's favorite places to eat out - my husband LOVES the bottomless fries. But, we can't eat there very often, so I like to make this salad occasionally at home. It is really tasty and very close to the original - it would probably be a dead ringer if I found out what BBQ sauce they use. You can find my recipe here.

Chicken Breasts - $1.50 / lb at Smiths, used 2 - total - $1.20

BBQ Sauce (I used Jack Daniels) - On sale at Albertson's for $1.99, doubled $1.00 coupon - Free!
Black Beans - bought at Smith's case lot sale - $.38 each

Romaine lettuce - $1.00 at Buy Low

Roma Tomatoes - $.88 / lb at Walmart, used 2 - total - $.45

Avocados - $.33 each at Walmart, used 2 - total - $.66

Cheddar Cheese - $2.09 at Target, used $1.00 coupon and $1 / 2 Target coupon - total $.59 for 8 oz, used 4oz - total - $.30

Ranch Dressing - on Price Cut at Target, used $1.00 coupon and $.50 off Target coupon - total - $.09

French Fried Onions - $1.66 at Walmart, used $.50 coupon - total $1.16

Vegetable Oil - $.10

Grand Total - $5.24 for 4 servings, $1.31 for each serving
(You would pay A LOT more than this at the restaurant, especially when you include a tip!)
