Summer's Simple Pleasures

Picnics

(Fred may or may not be mocking me here)

Fruit! Watermelon, Cantaloupe, Berries, Pineapple, Plums, Peaches, Cherries - I love them all! And so does Grant

Days at the Park - this is Hunter coming down the slide

Feeding the Ducks

Sun and Water

I am truly loving the summer! It is so fun to re-live your childhood summer days with your children. Eating frozen Capri Suns, drawing with chalk, running in sprinklers, playing at the park etc. It is so carefree, and makes me feel like a kid again. I so need to move back to San Diego where we get a lot more mileage out of our summers (being that summer blends into fall and spring). But, for the time being, we're making the most of the wonderful weather while it's here.

Happiness Is...

When you're almost 3 year old says, "Yes, celery! I love it! Dada, celery!" as you're putting celery sticks down on the dinner table.

When you're husband asks to take the blanket you spent almost 50 hours crocheting upstairs to bed because he loves how warm and cozy it is.

When your nursing 6 month old baby is so excited to see you (and your food) that he buries himself into you the second you sit down.

When you get 12 bars of Johnson and Johsnson's buddies soap for $.44. Thanks moneysavingmom!

When you make Rubio's fish burritos in your very own kitchen for a fraction of the cost (not exactly the same but still really, really tasty).

Watching your son talk to his Grandparents on the webcam.
